Wednesday Night Services
Each Wednesday evening, we gather to pray through Vespers and celebrate the Eucharist. This time is a sacred space for us to be reconciled to God, and celebrate the gift of this most blessed sacrament given through Jesus Christ.

Purpose
Here at LOWC, we understand and affirm worship in a variety of styles. However, there are certain truths about WHY we worship, which transcend our differences.
Worship has:
The Triune God, revealed in the scripture as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The broad context of all life (unceasing, living-sacrifice worship), and the narrow context of the gathered church, who gathers to encourage and build one another up, offering a foretaste of what is to come when Christ returns and heaven and earth are joined together. As theologian Jeremy Begbie puts it, the corporate gathering is an “echo of the future”.
Our Triune God is both the object of worship and one of its audiences, but the scriptures also tell us to pay attention to two other audiences – the gathered church (Colossians 3:16, Hebrews 10:23-24), and the watching world (1 Corinthians 14:22-40).
Get involved!
The Lake of the Woods Church Worship Ministry is always open to anyone willing to serve the Lord and the church with their gifts. Regardless of your skill set or interests, there is a place for you.
Look over some of the different ministry areas listed here. If you’re interested in serving in any of them, click the link below to complete the interest form!
Each week, the choir helps lead worship in our 9:45 a.m. service in the Sanctuary. This wonderful group of musicians diligently prepares hymns and special music to support the congregation in lifting their voices in worship.
The choir also works towards special programs throughout the year, including a cantata at Christmas and Easter.
Each week, the worship team helps lead the congregation in lifting their praise to the Lord at our 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. services, both in the Worship Center.
Whether you’re a vocalist, guitarist, drummer, keyboard player, or other instruments, we have a space for you on the team!
LOWC is partnered with Restoration Community Dance Ministry to provide a means of leading worship through sacred dance. As a Biblically-sound act of worship, dance provides us the ability to make our bodies a living sacrifice of praise.
Restoration Dance is led by Sonja Edwards.
Supporting corporate worship doesn’t always involve being in front of the church, and that’s where the tech team comes into play. Mixing audio, displaying graphics/lyrics, operating cameras, producing a livestream, and so on; serving on the tech team is a great way to make a difference in the life of the church each Sunday.
Making a difference in someone’s day can be as simple as being a smiling face, and that’s where our greeters and ushers shine. Their hospitality and joy are the first impression for anyone stepping into the church, and can be the difference in their reception of the Gospel.
Being a greeter or usher is a great way to meet new people, and make the best impression possible on our guests each week!
Children's Choir
We are excited to begin a new children's choir this fall!
This is a great opportunity to help your child/children develop their vocal skills, as well as learning about the power of music in worship. Together, we will learn music that exalts the name of Jesus, and create opportunities for the Children's Choir to lead worship on Sunday mornings, and at other events throughout the year.
