For 35 years the Brisben Center has ministered to the homeless by providing shelter, meals, hand-up supports and restorative care. They serve singles and families, adults and children, in Fredericksburg and 4 surrounding counties. In 2024 they expect to shelter 370 people.

Child Evangelism Fellowship is a Bible-centered, worldwide organization that is dedicated to seeing every child reached with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, discipled and established in a local church. CEF has many different ministries for children, but the three primary ones are the Good News Club®, the 5-Day Club® and the Truth Chasers Club™ (formerly CEF Mailbox Club).
The Living Water Community Clinic
The Living Water Community Clinic, formerly a mission of LOWC, provides free medical, dental, emotional, and spiritual care to those eligible uninsured patients in East Orange County and surrounding areas. It is dedicated to delivering high quality medical care, and total healing to community citizens. The clinic has experienced significant growth, seeing 114 patients in the first half of 2023, 28% more than all of 2022.
Fellowship of Christian Athletes
The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is touching millions of lives… one heart at a time. Since 1954, this ministry has been challenging coaches and athletes on the professional, college, high school, junior high and youth levels to use the powerful medium of athletics to impact the world for Jesus Christ. Lake of the Woods Church provides leadership for the huddle at Locust Grove Middle School.

InterVarsity Christian Fellowship/USA is a vibrant campus ministry that establishes and advances witnessing communities of students and faculty. It ministers to students and faculty through small group Bible studies, large gatherings on campus, leadership training, thoughtful discipleship and life-changing conferences and events.
ThriVe Central Virginia Women’s Healthcare

LifeSpring Pregnancy Centers of Central Virginia is a Christian ministry focused on the needs of women in nine counties of central Virginia. Their vision is “Life assured for every baby, hope renewed for every family, lives transformed through Jesus Christ”. They offer free and confidential pregnancy testing, counseling, ultrasounds and limited medical services, and information on abortion, adoption, parenting and abstinence.
SAFE — Services to Abused Families
Services to Abused Families, Inc. (SAFE) is a private, non-profit organization established in 1980 to serve survivors of domestic violence. SAFE provides prevention, intervention and educational services for sexual assault victims and survivors of domestic violence in five counties, including Orange.
Adult and Teen Challenge Virginia

Teen Challenge provides youth, adults and families with an effective and comprehensive Christian faith-based solution to life-controlling drug and alcohol problems in order to become productive members of society. They minister at three sites in Stafford County, Fredericksburg, and Richmond. Lake of the Woods Church actively participates in Teen Challenge’s Love Them Back to Life student sponsorship program.
