Counseling Ministry Mission
To provide Christian based, community oriented, affordable counseling and educational services for individuals, couples, and families experiencing stressful life adjustment problems, and to do so in a supportive, confidential environment.
Philosophy
This ministry is based on the belief that Jesus Christ is the Great Healer. He has empowered and sent His disciples into the world to preach the Gospel and heal people everywhere.
The Lake of the Woods Church and its many resources is a healing community of God’s grace. It is our hope that those whom it serves may come to experience God’s healing grace as it is available to them through the healing process of the counseling experience.
The Therapeutic Counseling area helps with:
- Marital or relationship problems
- Separation or divorce
- Family conflict
- Domestic violence
- Problems raising children
- Illness or loss of ability to function
- Death of a family member or friend
- Depression or emotional difficulty
- Anxiety/coping with daily stress
- Self-destructive feelings
- Loneliness
- Spiritual dilemma/crisis
- Coping with life changes
- Marital Enrichment
