“The mission of Women’s Ministry at The Lake of the Woods Church is to encourage all women to grow in their knowledge of the Lord Jesus and His word through prayer, fellowship, teaching and ministering to one another.”

Faithbooking Group

Faithbooking is a personal ministry based on Psalm 78:4, “…we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, His power, and the wonders He has done.” Our faith journey is expressed by assembling photo albums and/or greeting cards using scriptures, prayers and journaling about family members, events, trips, etc. Workshops are held every 2nd and 4th Thursday in the Friendship Hall from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. Beginners are welcome. Contact Nancy Bowles for more information at nancybowles1@verizon.net.

Tuesday Morning Bible Study

Led by Pat Ericksen, our gifted Bible teacher, the Tuesday Morning Bible Study meets every Tuesday morning in the Founders Room at 10 a.m. Women in all stages of their Christian walk share their insights and experiences as they study different books of the Bible. This Bible Study is open to ALL women who want to study the Word and apply it to their lives. One attendee said: “The Tuesday Bible class is fun and inspiring and a great way to make friends.”  Plan to join us!

Malachi 3:16 Bible Study

Malachi 3:16 “Then those who feared the Lord talked with each other; the Lord listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in His presence concerning those who feared the Lord and honored His name.”

This is a small group of women who meet each Friday morning at 10 a.m. in The Founders Room to discuss a book of the Bible. Each of us uses a Study Guide to help prepare for the discussion. The more we know God and His Word, the better we are able to know ourselves and live as He has intended for us. Our study will be 1, 2, and 3 John beginning in September. For more information email womens@lowchurch.org.

MOPS

MOPs (Mothers of Preschoolers) meets in the Founders room every Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. Childcare is provided in the church nursery downstairs. We have a wonderful group of young moms who gather for Bible study, special programs, service projects and fellowship with other young moms. If you are new to this area, or new to parenthood, or want to make friends with women who are also experiencing the joys of preschoolers, come check out the group. Many of the moms say, “It’s just so nice to have some adult conversation.” For further information please contact Kandi Mercure by email at mops@lowchurch.org.

Prodigal Prayer Group

The Prodigal Prayer Group meets on the 4th Thursday each month at 10 a.m. in the Charter Room. We focus on our children and grandchildren who need a personal relationship with Christ. We welcome anyone who is concerned for their loved ones. We have seen a lot of prayers answered!  Plan to join us! For more information, please call Daphne Gaines at 571.288.3603 or by email gaines.daphne@yahoo.com.

The Women’s Gathering (formerly Guild)

The Gathering is a ministry for women of all ages. Our meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of each month in Friendship Hall, beginning at 10 a.m. and ending with lunch. Our programs are varied and can be spiritual or informative. In addition to a special monthly program, The Women’s Gathering supports a different church mission each month. Among these missions are The Foster Care Program, Beauty for Ashes, Food Pantry and the Brisben Center for the homeless in Fredericksburg. The Women’s Gathering is a wonderful opportunity for women to come together each month for fellowship, to pray for one another, to be filled with God’s word, to break bread together, and to give back to others. We’d love for you to join us! email womens@lowchurch.org.
