Women’s Guild

Women’s Guild is a ministry for women of all ages. Meetings are held the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month in the Friendship Hall beginning at 10:00 a.m. and ending with lunch. The programs are varied: They can be spiritual in nature or informative. Women’s Guild also provides support for a mission project of the month: i.e. Foster Care Program, Beauty for Ashes, Food pantry, Orphanage in Haiti, Blue Star Mother’s program. Come and meet some of the wonderful women of the church.
Child Care is available; however, prior notice is requested.

MOPs (Mother’s of Preschoolers) meets every Wednesday at 9:15 with childcare provided in the nursery downstairs. We have a wonderful group of young moms who come together for programs (for example, how to find quality time with your spouse), Bible study, service projects and just good ol’ fashioned sharing concerns and joys. Many of the moms say…”It’s just so nice to have some adult conversation.” If you are new to this area, or new to parenthood, or just want to find some friends at a similar time in life, come and check out the group.

Prodigal Prayer Group

The Prodigal Prayer Group meets once a month on the 2nd Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in the church sanctuary to pray for friends and family members who are not walking with the Lord. We are especially concerned for children and grandchildren who are addicted, experiencing divorce or financial stress and need to find or renew a personal relationship wtih Christ. We welcome anyone who is burdened for lost loved ones.

Faithbooking Group

Faithbooking is a personal ministry based on Psalm 78:4, “we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, His power, and the wonders He has done.” Our faith journey is expressed by assembling photo albums and/or greeting cards using scriptures, prayers and journaling about family members, events, trips, etc. Workshops are held every 2nd and 4th Thursday in the Friendship Hall from 9:00 a.m. or 10:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Beginners are welcome. Contact Nancy Bowles for more information.

Tuesday Morning Bible Study

The Tuesday morning Women’s Bible Study meets in the Founders Room at 10 AM. It is led by Pat Ericksen, who is a gifted Bible teacher. It is an inductive study which encourages the sharing of insights and experiences by everyone present. It includes women who have been studying scripture for many years as well as newcomers to the Christian faith. It is open to any woman who would like to attend and learn how the Word can be applied to their life. One attendee said: “The Tuesday Bible class is fun and inspiring and a great way to make friends.”

Friday Morning Bible Study

Malachi 3:16 “Then those who feared the Lord talked with each other; the Lord listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in His presence concerning those who feared the Lord and honored His name.”
The Malachi 3:16 Bible Study is a small group of women who meet weekly to discuss a book of the Bible. Each of us uses a Study Guide to help prepare for the discussion.  The more we know of God and His ways from His Word, the better able we are to know ourselves and to live as He has purposed for us.
