“Whatever your task, put yourselves into it as work done for the Lord.”
(Colossians 3:23)
Dear Church Family,
xxxxxA remarkable thing happened this week. On Ash Wednesday we were back to full capacity in the Sanctuary! We had to put overflow in the narthex.  Pastor Medas preached a very moving sermon, and we were able to safely do the imposition of ashes for all who wanted them. Communion was nearly the way we celebrated it a year ago.
xxxxxOne man, leaving the service, said to me, “I wouldn’t have missed this for the world.”
xxxxxWe are very eager to return to having three-distinct services on Sundays, and we anticipate doing so on Easter. The question is: how soon after that can we resume our regular full Sunday schedule?
xxxxxWhile our worship has looked very different this past year, we have still seen tremendous growth as a church.  Just a week ago we welcomed 20 new members! Every week, the Lake of the Woods Church is reaching folks here in central Virginia, and literally around the globe, with the Good News of Jesus, and I’m asking your help in making that impact even greater.
xxxxxWhether it’s by welcoming and guiding those coming through our doors, meeting the technology and media needs for both our in-person and online services, or helping lead worship as a part of a musical ensemble, there are places you can make a huge contribution to the ministry and outreach of LOWC, and maybe an eternal difference in someone’s life.
xxxxxWe need to rebuild our support teams. We need greeters, ushers, tech team members (don’t worry; we will train you!), and most of all we need to build musical teams who can function with proper distancing. (We can’t yet have a full traditional choir, but we want to put together at least three musical groups to support these three services.)
xxxxxThis is my personal appeal: will you please prayerfully consider whether you can serve in any of these capacities, and let me know of your availability? Please use this link to sign up.
xxxxxThanks in advance!
          Gratefully yours in Christ,
