Child Care Center & Preschool

To Our Church Family and Friends,

The Lake of the Woods Church Board of Elders has decided not to reopen the Child Care Center (CCC) this Fall. As you know, we closed the CCC in March to comply with Covid 19 guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Executive Orders from the Governor of Virginia to ensure the health and safety of the children who were participating in the program, their families, and our Church Staff.
Since then we have been monitoring the impact of this disease on our community and our ability to meet the requirements imposed by the governing licensing agencies for safely providing child care services during a pandemic. After thorough analysis of all relevant data, the Board of Elders concluded the risks of exposing our children and the staff who serve them to the Covid 19 virus in a close environment for extended periods are far too great at this time. Accordingly, the CCC will remain closed.

We are, however, committed to reassessing our status in the coming months and will decide our next course of action by the end of the year. Please pray with us for the health and safety of our friends and family as we ask for God’s guidance in overcoming this terrible disease that has had such a devastating effect on our world.

In His Service,

Maurice S. Moody, Chairman
Board of Elders
