Child Care Center & Preschool

WE’RE BACK!

We are excited to announce that The Child Care Center will have a partial re-opening on June 1, 2021.   Due to limited staff, The Center will first open our Preschool Daycare Program.  We intend to re-open our School-age Before and After School program and our Preschool by August 2021.  At this time, Preschool Registration will begin only for children who are ages 3 & 4, toilet-trained, and seeking full-day childcare.

The Preschool Program will be initiated with a soft opening—limiting class-room capacity to 10 children.  When possible, more children and classes will be added.  The Center has maintained a list of interested parents for the various programs.  However, we are hoping this early announcement will provide awareness and assist parents who are planning and in need of preschool and child-care.

Registration for Preschool Daycare will begin Tuesday, May 11th in person only at 10 a.m. for preschool daycare only.  (limited spots available until additional classes and staff are added.)  Please email me if you are interested in enrolling for the Preschool Daycare.  In the weeks following, I will be working on the new enrollment forms, policies, and procedures.  Fall registration for preschool and daycare will be at a later date.

Enrollment for School-age Programs and Fall Preschool will begin later when additional staff can be hired.   Please be on the lookout for more information on these programs.

As most of you already know, I will be retiring and have been searching for a New Director.  I am happy to announce that we have now hired a new Director, Ms. Jessica Field.  Ms. Field studied Early Childhood Education at Liberty University and has 4 years of experience as the Assistant Director for a local Fredericksburg daycare. We are confident that she will be a great addition to the LOWC Child Care Center.   She will begin her new role the week of May 17th, during which time, I will be temporarily assisting her in her transition prior to officially retiring. Thank you all for your continued prayers and patience while the Church and Child Care Center work to reopen and welcome new leadership.
