The Lake of the Woods Church’s own Dave and Erin Shafferman will present a night of music for the Joyful Noise Concert Series on Saturday, Feb. 18.
The concert will begin at 7 p.m. and will feature Dave and Erin as well as family members and friends.
This will be the third year they are sharing their talents with the LOW Church community.

Dave and Erin Shafferman
Erin began serving in Christian ministry after graduating from Mary Washington College with a music degree. She’s served as choir member and director, youth leader and accompanist. Erin is currently the music teacher at Gordon-Barbour Elementary School.
She met Dave in 1984 and they began singing together in an evangelistic youth ministry called New Direction that ministered to more than 700 churches on the East Coast. Prior to their meeting, Dave was involved in various musical groups in both the secular and Christian arenas.
Dave and Erin were married by Pastor Tom Schafer at The Lake of the Woods Church in 2002 and became members in January 2008. Since that time, Dave has played piano and led worship in the blended and contemporary services, while Erin joined the Chancel Choir and sings during the 8:30 and 9:45 a.m. traditional services.
Dave and Erin’s most recent opportunity to serve was during the traditional service for the Advent season, where they partnered with Marthellen Hoffman and her harp to share the Christmas favorite “Mary, Did You Know?”
The evening’s song selections will be as varied as the participants. Come join Dave and Erin and their family and friends for an evening that is sure to please.
